I enjoyed Unit 5 Managing classes. I kept stopping and thinking about which seating arrangements I would use for a particular activity. I also thought about how I can develop rapport with the students. I do have some concerns over problematic behavior and how to respond to it appropriately. I'm hopeful I can develop strategies as time goes on. I'm confident in how I can use my voice and appropriate eye contact, but I wonder how quickly I'll be able to minimize my gestures. I am very comfortable randomly picking students, pairs, and groups. I am a firm believer that the best way to learn is to immerse yourself, participate, and make mistakes. I know I will have to work on simplifying what I choose to say for the benefit of the students. I look forward to implementing these styles and strategies.
