This fifth unit deals with the classroom management. It explains how a teacher should use her voice, gesture and eye contact through a lesson. It gives the pros and cons of grouping students and which is the best classroom arrangement according to several factors such as the space available, the age of the students or their personality to name but a few. It also gives some hints on how to establish rapport between the teacher and students, as well as on how to maintain discipline, the reasons for problem behaviour and some ideas to prevent and respond to this problem.
In my opinion this unit was very helpful as it explains how a teacher should act while teaching and how to maintain discipline. Furthermore it was very clarifying about the classroom arrangement as it lists pros and cons.
