I learned that ESA-Engage, Study, and Activate is the true core to teaching English. All the methods can really help students to learn with more diversity. Often times, students are too focused on Grammar-Translation method where they may only learn about the language and not learning the language itself. I learned that my approach to language by understanding words and phrases as the building blocks is actually called the lexical approach. I think that this approach can help students to feel more comfortable in activating their language. Students may feel like they are learning a language during the study phase by knowing how words are spelled and pronunciation. But activating it and feel comfortable speaking and receiving feedback is the key to a complete language learning method.
