This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The future is very tricky, even for a native English speaker. There are so many different forms that can be easily used instead of the correct one grammatically. I learned that you can teach the ones that are the most alike (future perfect and future perfect continuous, or \"be going to\" and the future simple) so it is important to teach these together to establish the distinctions from the start rather than when the student makes the mistake a lot and cannot see the difference. The teaching ideas in this unit are very helpful, as they have provided me with ideas on how to teach the future tense with much more clarity. Even the idea to use songs is so helpful so that the students can hear the lyrics and the correct usages of the different forms of the future tense in use.
