This unit was about dynamics within the classroom, both between the teacher/students as individuals, between the teacher and the class as a whole, and between the students themselves.
Having experienced many different classroom arrangements (horseshoe arrangement or small groups are my favourite), it's good to now be able to understand how that effects the general atmosphere within the classroom. It also shows how important it is to identify how that relates to the goal of the lesson and the way students can interact with each other or with the teacher.
Most importantly, this topic dealt with discipline. When thinking about teaching, I've always been scared that I wouldn't be able to control an unruly class or student - now I have some useful strategies to guide me!
