It was most interesting that you don't use the course material in the first class. That really made me think of how to structure the first class in a way that would be beneficial for the relationship of student to teacher and student to student. I'm very glad that that this was said in the materials because I had never even considered this a necessity. Now I see that this is important and I will be using this style in the future.The biggest thing I took away from this unit was the impact a teacher's attitude and energy level can have on students' participation in class. By engaging students and displaying enthusiasm for the lesson, the class becomes a much easier and more fun environment to learn in. It was nice to see the lesson structures I've been learning about in action and how to adapt in order to give a better sense of fluidity throughout the lesson.
