I learned that appropriate and balanced teaching between grammar and vocabulary is important for the students' progression in learning. Before reading this chapter, I truly believe that mastering the vocabulary will allow any students to be able to speak English better than students who just focus on grammar. The balance of learning is also important by understanding the key structures that can help to learn all parts of a language. The straight arrow is very clear and get to the point to allow students to grasp it easier. I also learned that discussion can be a great way to engage the students. While initially I felt that it is best for activate, but I can understand that by allowing students to interact with each other, they can be more engage into learning.
