This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focuses on classroom equipment and teaching aids. Boards, interactive whiteboards, and overhead projectors are just a few examples of the equipment used by teachers. The teacher should have full knowledge of how to properly use each piece of equipment before introducing it to the classroom. Test the equipment beforehand and have a backup plan if something occurs to hinder the planned usage. Cassette recorders and DVD players, worksheets, visual aids, and photocopiers are all used in the classroom for many different advantages to the students. A student hearing his own voice could be quite beneficial for correcting pronunciation. And it's always a great idea to keep the students engaged and challenged with new teaching aids throughout the school year.
