This Unit covers Present Tenses. The present simple tense is used when referring to an event that is repeated, usual, or currently happening (eg. first person: I sing) The present continuous tense is used when talking about actions taking place at the current moment (eg. first person: I am singing.) Describe recent completed actions and/or ones that still hold true at the points in time- past participals indicate periods of time (for), points in time (since), continuing event (gone), or a finished one (been.) There are many irregular participals. Lastly the present perfect continuous is used to express an incomplete ongoing activity and to say how long it has continued. This tense is also used to describe a recently finished/ uninterrupted activity.
