This chapter goes over some different mindsets and plans for teaching the different groups. I've taught students of all ages and levels and in pk,k,es, and middle school as well as in businesses and centers, and the environments really do vary. As a student, I used to think it was the teacher that made the class fun and interesting or boring, but now as a teacher, I realized the students matter just as much! Also as a teacher, it's important to realize and plan for how long you will be teaching the student. Usually I will only see a student for 1 to 2 years, which is quite a short time considering how long they will be studying. I often focus on motivating my students, so that when they leave my class, they want to find out more for themselves.
