Unit 15 covers evaluation and assessment of students. The main ways to evaluate students are; tutorials, evaluation by students, and tests. Tutorials can be done with groups, or individual students, but it is useful to review the class material to determine how well the students are picking it up. Evaluation by the students is done by giving the students a questionnaire, or in a class discussion, that asks the students what they think of the course. Tests are another way to check a students' level, and can be done with a placement test, progress test, achievement test, etc. There are many external tests for EFL learners to take to prove their level, although IELTS is the ideal test for someone looking to study or work in an English country.
