Having a an outline of what needs to go into a lesson plan followed by a template made learning this lesson easier. The notes are good, but the video lesson was better. Especially watching someone fill in and talk through the creation of a lesson plan. Including learner objectives and teacher aims seems really useful in thinking about what I, as a teacher wish to accomplish. Trying to anticipate problems and brainstorm solutions also makes me feel more relaxed and confident to teach my lesson. Especially when I am teaching older students who are less forgiving. Having the procedure all written out with notes of the phase, time length, and interaction makes it easy to pace myself through a lesson and keeps me from getting flustered.
