This unit covered the different lesson materials, and course books a teach can use during class. It covered the advantages and disadvantages to using a course book, and how a teach can adapt the lesson in the book to fit his/her class. I learned how I should not depend strictly on a book for a class. I also learned the difference between authentic materials, and created materials; which I will try to incorporate both in my classes.This unit teaches us about classroom management, and how to effectively get the attention of our students in a lesson and classroom. It shows how to create rapport with the students and decrease behaviour as well as how the classroom arrangement can also affect a students learning. I learnt that giving students as much talk time as possible and reducing the amount of teacher talk time will in turn keep students involved in lessons.
