I have learned that phonetic script is impossible to read ... almost. There are many ways to teach pronunciation and I believe most of the methods in this section would drive students to give up the attempt. The lone exception being the poem by George Bernard Shaw. Modeling sounds using my own mouth is what has worked for me in the past when I have tried to teach difficult pronunciations.Today I learned from the videos concerning the classroom arrangement , teacher voices and attitudes toward students. The different techniques the teacher use during class. The contrast between the two videos helps me to see what it help increase students participation and what to avoid. It takes time, planning, implementation and positive attitude to help students to acquire new language.
