This unit teaches me the proper usage of past tense in the four main categories. Learning this helps me to be accurate in my sentence structure with the proper use of grammar and tenses. Although it can be quite confusing the unit helps to explain the rule behind the formation of the sentences and knowing the basic rule helps in understanding where and how the tenses should be placed in the sentences.I learnt how we as learners use different skills in order to read and listen (from predictive skills to scanning etc.) I also found the text on how to approach language difficulty very useful. Once again it was good that the example was built around ESA lesson structure. I use many ways to engage my students in my class and it is extremely important to know your students and what their interests are.
