Even though the unit mentions that some experts say lesson planning is not necessary and may lead to an overly structured class presentation, I feel that it is essential in helping the teacher prepare the topics of the lesson, anticipate problems and also to make sure the time allocated to each activity is sufficient but not too long. I try to plan a very barebones lesson plan for every class I teach!In this unit I learnt the theories, methods and techniques on how to teach and prepare a class, what is expected from a teacher, and how the class should be structured. I learnt the diferent types and structures for an ESA lesson and alot of examples of activities and things to do in class, also the difference between a mistake and an error and the alternatives on how to correct the students mistakes.
