Personally, I found it helpful to learn about the pros and cons of the different student groupings. I never thought that there was much to classroom arrangement, but after this unit, I can see how it would play an important role in classroom management. The unit made me think of my own experience in the U.S. education system, and realized that the higher education I was receiving, the less student talking time I had, especially when it came to university classes that were solely lecture based. I can recall losing focus in lectures where the teacher talks for almost the whole hour or two, so I can see how having a balanced TTT and STT could make a learning environment more inviting and fun for the students and the teacher.
