Unit 17 discusses various options for teaching aids in the classroom, focusing primarily on classroom technology and equipment. Even though much of the technology has become obsolete with recent technological advancements, it is still important to acknowledge when and where some of this equipment can and should be used (OHPs, cassette player/recorder, CD player), given that some schools, particularly in lower income areas, may not have access to more advanced tech or may require the use of such technology as a part of the curriculum. Additionally, Unit 17 does provide information about resources accessible via the internet (Youtube, learning/information web pages) and smartphone/tablet/mobile technology (camera, video).
