When teaching a group class, there are some problems that a teacher should know how to deal with flexibly.I agree that it's vital to establish rapport with the students and build the tone for the rest of the course in the first lesson.This unit introduces some activities that can be used to reduce the possible intensive atmosphere.As a saying goes that good beginning, half success.I taught a 30-student class with different level.Pair strong and weaker students together is a very good way to help weaker students make progress and build confidence up.Some weaker students aren't willing to interact with the teacher or his/her partner.Role-play,controlled practice and individual concern should be applied in the class.
