There are advantages and disadvantages to various resources. Coursebooks provide tried and tested structure and methods but may not be up to date or contemporary. They may be better for beginner students as real life resources such as magazines films and newspapers may be intimidating due to the fluency of such materials. Real life resources may be more useful to give confidence to students to engage in real life English usage.This unit was a bit of a challenge having to remember all the rules and differences between the tenses. Some of them are so similiar, for instance 'going to' future and future simple. I had to constantly check back for the rules to make sure that I am correct on which tense some of the sentences are used in. I feel confident now having studied and having done all the tasks at the end of the unit. It was a good refresher for me.
