Hereby I have learnt what main types of noun there are in English language. I also learnt the main difference between personal and possessive pronouns that can be confusing for everyone who is not a native speaker of the language. I might say that the grammar is not as easy as I though it to be. I am wondering if a native speaker really knew what a compound noun or an adverb of frequency is. This unit was useful.Modals can be used to express a number of different ideas: Advice, obligation, Ability, Possibility and permission. They can express different degrees of formality. Modal verbs do not change in form when the person changes: I run, he runs. The active and passive sentences basically have the same meaning, just the focus is different. I found the phrasal verbs to be difficult to understand in the different types.
