Trying to pick only 5 important roles of a teacher was difficult as I had to reflect on what makes a good teacher. I was forced to think about the teachers I've had in the past that I made learning interesting, easy and enjoyable. Those teachers that inspired me. While i believe they have more than just 5 characteristics I organized concluded that they all at least share the following 5: Organizer, Model, Manager/Controller, Assessor and Prompter.
I found that those are the five characteristics that i would also like to have so that I can facilitate learning for my students.
Unit 1 gets you familiarized with the basics, students and teachers. Simple but very important as this is the entire structure of teaching.
