This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I enjoyed studying the different methods of teaching English as a foreign language. I really like the different structures of the ESA approach, such as the boomerang and the patchwork method. I like how the structure is designed to get the students engaged and interested in the lesson and then follows up with activities to reinforce knowledge and studying to track/see progress. It is a very logical approach to teaching language and It is a great method for designing lesson plans. I also liked the information about correcting students. I find that to be challenging because you don't ever want to embarrass or discourage a student by correcting them, but it is still important for them to learn correct English.
