This unit focused on the different needs, possible challenges and teaching ideas for various class types. For example, the unit highlighted the difference between teaching children as opposed to adults and teaching business learners within a company as opposed to learners who elect to take a language class on their own. I appreciated learning that a class of children will need shorter more varied activities and the lesson will need to be as interactive and fun as possible to retain attention and enthusiasm. In regards to business learners, I learned that it is important to do an analysis to be able to understand what specific skills should be taught to fulfill requirements and meet student needs.
