This is a great foundation for a new teacher. It gives you a solid understanding of how to use different teaching methodologies for different classes. I found the ESA methodology and its variants to be the most helpful as this is what most ESL teachers tend to use these days, it is however important to note the older methodologies as those can still be useful in some situations.This lesson on teaching productive skills was helpful for me, especially as I teach English Speaking lessons to university students. Usually I give them time to prepare their speaking by writing down their thoughts. It was useful to read about how to encourage them to write creatively. It was also helpful to learn to break the lessons down between improving accuracy and fluency.
