This unit reviewed the 7 different tense systems in the English language. The first is future simple which allows the speaker to make future facts and certainties, promises, predictions that have no present evidence, assumptions, spontaneous decisions, and threats. The next is future continuous which allows the speaker to say something that will be in progress at a particular moment in the future, to predict the present, for polite enquiries, and to refer to future events which are decided. Next is future present which uses the form will + have + past participle structure. Next is the future perfect continuous tense which allows the the speaker to say how long something will have continued by a certain time. This uses the will + have + been + verb + ing structure. This tense also has a be going + infinitive part which allows the speaker to give their intentions.
