As discussed in previous units the use of group work or pair work is very important in the students learning process. The unit points out that reluctant students when paired with a stronger student is given a safe place to practice the language and figure out where their problems are. In these exercises it might be a good idea for the teacher to keep an ear out for strong students who are dominating the conversation and find a way to switch them. The teacher should not hover because that will make students feel intimidated, but to be aware of the classroom. To the beginning point of the unit about getting the students ready to learn with warm ups it is very true. As a student when the teacher starts asking questions about the material straight out of the gate it is not effective. The class is unresponsive and the teacher is left standing in a silent classroom. The warm ups will help get the students thinking in a fun way and ready to participate in the lesson.
