In this unit, I learned a lot about the history of learning a new language and the many effective ways to approach a lesson. Though there are positives and negatives with each method, the Engage, Study, Activate (ESA) method deems the most thorough. Not only does it give the teacher great flexibility for teaching in the classroom, but also provides their students with motivating topics and engaging activities that appear to be the most effective way to teach and learn a foreign language. Even though there are chances for repetitive lessons that could create a boring environment, I believe this method provides enough flexibility to keep the lesson plan creative and exciting for all involved.
