I learnt that there exist different types of techniques to teach English as a second language and each of these techniques have different tools. Having more than one type of teaching technique is very useful because you can choose to apply one or the other depending on what has the greatest impact on the development of the students. I enjoyed how specifically the tools were described within the Engage Study and Activate methodology. The focus on difference between errors anad mistakes was made quite clear. Being a novice teacher, it was great to learn not only when I should correct errors but also how this should be done during the different stages of a lesson.
