This unit was of some difficulty for me, and I can see now how a student would find the past tense usage confusing, especially for low-level learners. For example, I would find it difficult to explain in simple terms the different usages of a Past Simple and Present Perfect sentence. I know that a Past Simple sentence describes actions that have been completed in the past with no regard to the present, while Present Perfect sentences describes actions from the past that may or may not have been completed and are relevant to the present; however, I feel that I will need to find a simpler way of explaining that?perhaps through an activity of sorts or further study on my part. Moreover, I found some difficulty with understanding Past Perfect Continuous, but after watching the video, I feel I understand now: a PPC sentences describes a continuing past event that occurred up until the point of the past event we are thinking about.
