This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In unit 17 we go even more in-depth to see exactly what tools we have available to successfully teach a class. These teaching aides can range from the whiteboard (a common enough tool in almost every classroom) to computer programs and games. We can clearly see that not all tools can be used to teach the same lesson (when, for example, learning vocabulary we can't use a video camera, but we can make use of visual aides and the whiteboard), and we can see what equipment we have available to make the students understanding easier. We can't always depend on having every tool we know about at hand (in impoverished communities we may not have a IWB in the classroom, for example), so knowing about these tools can allow us to make an informed decision as to what we can enrich our lesson with.
