The nineth unit tells us why it is important to make plans. There are four major reasons to prepare them: to make long-term planning for teaching in a logical and sequential manner; to use plans as reference and prompters for the teacher, to keep records; and to to be used by back-up teacher if for any reason I must miss the class. The authors suggest an interesting format of the plan. I got used to a different one, and the major difference is in using/defining ESA phases. As usual, I was interested in the practical side of the subject. That is why the example of a lesson plan on animal vocabulary was extremely useful. The task sheet differs from task sheets for other units. It contained creative exercises on building my own lesson plans on a given topic. Thank you for a great textbook!
