This Unit demonstrates examples of 2 different classrooms, where the ESA method is utilized but with different approaches. The teacher in the first lesson was ill-prepared and carried a less than positive attitude. While the lesson plan involves Engage and Activate Activities, the way the teacher facilitated these activities, half-hearted and without proper instructions, did little to help the students get involved. On the other hand, in the second lesson, the teacher spoke clearly and enthusiastically. He also used friendly and universal gestures to communicate ideas and to invite the students to participate actively.
