Of the four units so far, this was by far the most challenging. And humbling. I was working with my ESL class at Esperanza on Thursday night and I struggled to convey the present perfect form. My most active students, all Spanish speaking, asked me when would they use this verb form and I scrambled to find good activities to reinforce the lesson. However, looking at the page 9-10 I could have used the \"Students mingle...\", \"Mime\", and my favorite, the \"Change the room\" games to get the point across. I will definitely use one or more of these activities on Tuesday when I see my class next.
