Unit ten did a great job describing the different ways to evaluate and test the students. Teachers can use a placement test to grade a students' language level. Once a teacher knows where the student should be placed they can use a progress test to see what information the student is retaining. After the teacher has learned what language level the student is at, and what information they are retaining, then the teacher can give a practice test to help prepare them for an external exam. The reasons these tests are so effective is so that the teacher can properly evaluate each student to see their strengths and weaknesses, and to record their progress accurately .
