Phrasal verbs.... ouch. Of all of the units this is the one that stumped me the most. I have a hard time defining the three different types of phrasal verbs though doing this test helps to sort it out somewhat. The same is true with the passive and active voice. As a native speakers I can command this language at will to put the emphasis where it needs to be but teaching it is something altogether. This is a common theme of my learning in this course. There are too many grammar points that I understand but I do not know WHY they are the way they are. This is not acceptable teaching wise. Students may need to know some rules and ground points in order to understand the language and be able to memorize it.
