In this unit I watched the same teacher teach the same lesson to the same class two different ways. The first lesson really showed how the teacher?s attitude can affect the entire lesson. It also illustrated the need of the teacher to understand the class? level of understanding and to use vocabulary the class will understand. He kept getting so frustrated in the beginning because the students didn?t know what an aux. verb was. This is very different from his second chance teaching the lesson because he never even mentioned the word aux. verb in this lesson. He simply got the class to tell him animals and verbs. It kept it simple enough so all the students were happily able to contribute to class and he encouraged them by smiling and sounding pleased the entire lesson.
