The unit explains the importance to develop productive skills (writing and speaking) at students. These two different kinds of skills are equally important. Speaking deals with accuracy and fluency, where accuracy ensures correct use of language and is more teacher-controlled whereas fluency is more creative use of language. Both of these skills are important and should be trained.
To plan speaking activity the following factors should be taken into account: aim, problems, proper materials and instructions, interesting topic, planned time. During the class you can use visuals to arose students' interest, then remind necessary vocabulary, give instruction, time to rehearse, then monitor and give positive feedback. As for writing, the following skills can be improved: handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation, and the desire to write.
