I learnt in this unit the different forms of tests and their individual function and purpose. I particularly appreciate the advice on evaluating the students typically once a week so to gain insight to the students' opinions about the lessons and if the lessons are meeting their needs.
The placement test example is different to the one that is used where i currently work. I like it because Section Four allows for free discussion about their motivations for embarking on an EFL course as well as indicating their interests and fluency.Unit 4 is an example of highly complicated simplicity in my opinion. Case in point the Present Perfect/ Present Perfect Continuous tenses are technically used in reference to the present as the name implies; but specifically requires past events to be either continuously involved with what is currently happening or have a past actions that have a current result. Even as a native speaker, I find it a little confusing when trying to explain to someone else. Particularly since so much of it is irregular and simply has to be memorized.
