Unit 13 described ways for teaching pronunciation, phonology, and intonation. According to a recent study, many students are still greatly concerned about their pronunciation. Hence, teachers should consider teaching pronunciation in their class and throughout the course (based on the level/need/interest of the students). In English we must consider: 1. intonation, 2. stress, and 3. rhythm of each word in each sentence. 1. Intonation is the volume and pitch within an entire sentence. It can even change the feeling and mood of a sentence. The normal pattern of intonation is the \"rise/fall pattern\". When used, it means that you have completed your sentence and there is nothing more you want to say. On the other hand, the \"fall/rise pattern\" can be used to show surprise and disagreement and used when you are expecting a response from your listener. Sometimes it can also be used when the speaker wants to show he/she isn't finished speaking yet. The last type of intonation is \"flat\
