This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit, four types of present tense verbs were discussed; present simple, perfect continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. I learned how each of these tenses are formed, the rules for each type of these verbs and the three types of each of these for four verbs; affirmative, negative and questions. Each verb form gave all of the proper usages along with examples to make this clear as well as various activities to use with students to allow for them to learn and correctly use these present tense verbs. I feel this lesson was very beneficial and extremely important because often times the various verb forms confuses many students who are learning English. It can seem overwhelming as to why certain sentences are structured with say a present perfect verb but another uses the perfect continuous form. With this information and suggested teaching techniques it will help students feel more confident in learning these verbs in their correct uses.
