This unit studies the vocabulary, grammar and functions to be considered when teaching a new language. Within teaching vocabulary is important to consider how easy or difficult a vocabulary item is, how to select the vocabulary to teach, the vocabulary item that students need to know and the techniques for vocabulary teaching. Within introducing grammatical structures and teaching language functions the main focus is on the techniques for presenting and practising language structures.Unit 19 presents the possible groups we may encounter when teaching the english language. This may vary according to needs, type of learners, type of clients and many other factors such as a multilingual and monolingual class. A topic about young children as learners is a lesson dear to me as I am about to take on a similar task. Discipline and making lesson fun is an area that I am working on. Thank you for the tips not only I can keep as guide but as a lesson for my fellow teachers.
