This unit covers the four present tenses, the present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. Each present tense section provides a basic form structure and examples for affirmative, negative and question. The usages for each present tense are stated and examples of student mistakes that are made. Teaching suggestions are also made to encourage the learning and communication of the tenses and grammar. From this unit, I was able to learn the four types of present tenses in detail and identify and classify sentences to each tense. I am also now able to make affirmative, negative and question examples for each tense. The student error section allowed me to understand possible errors that can occur and how to correct these errors. The teaching suggestions provided me possible teaching ideas when trying to teach this topic. This unit certainly helped me to understand present tense in-depth and how to approach this area of topic.
