Speaking and writing are the two productive language skills. Students write and speak for various purposes, and these skills should be fostered in the classroom. Teachers can create many hands-on exercises to foster these skills in students. The teacher should provide students with ample opportunity to practice these skills both in and out of the classroom. Students can also be given the opportunity to regularly present their reading and writing to the class. The future tenses in the English language are extremely nuanced, with even present tenses sometimes signaling future events. In this unit, the future tenses are broken down and elaborated on; drawing parallels between present, past and future tenses is incredibly useful in terms of learning how simple, continuous, and perfect tenses work together. I personally find the verb tenses to be the most challenging aspect of this course and often myself get it wrong.
