Unit 11 covered testing and the different types of tests that can be administered both in and outside of the classroom. The first part of the chapter and video discussed the types of tests that could be used in the class in order to check on the students' progress as well as discovering any strengths and weaknesses they could have. The information that the teacher would gain by grading the tests could help them form lessons, depending on what the majority of the students are or aren't understanding. The second half of the unit covered external tests that can be taken in order for the students' to gain certain certifications. Many of these tests are required for predominantly English speaking universities, enabling students' to understand whatever they would be attending that college to study. Most of the tests seemed to be very useful if the student was looking for a career where English was the prominent language spoken.
