And based on the information in this unit both of them have either advantages or disadvantages. However, the selection should be based on the students level, as soon as you identify your students level you might be able to choose the right material in which it would serve the teaching purposes of a particular group of students. Authentic materials can be interesting, appealing and most importantly serving a real life situation. While created materials can indeed be very useful and helpful, because it should be designed by the teacher to back up the course materials, and so it can also be graded to the level of the students, and lastly, it might be a good resource for the target achievement for the students in the class.
