Unit 3 discussed the theories, methods, and techniques that can be used in the classroom. There are a lot of techniques and methods, and choosing which one to use will greatly depend on the age of the class and their familiarity with English. I feel that I have learned how important it will be for me to understand how to effectively use the Study, Engage, and Activate stages. My choices will directly affect how well my students can learn and understand, and this lesson clearly explained that.Unit eighteen describes the purposes and uses of modals, phrasal verbs and the passive voice. It provides models by tense, such as present simple, that help guide the lesson on appropriate usage and structure. Much of the lesson is structured around the passive voice with some introduction and explanation of phrasal verbs and relative clauses. Rules, such as obligations, certainties and abilities (for example) are discussed to show the basic structure around which this form of grammar is based.
