The unit discusses the components of teaching pronunciation ranging from word stress, articulation and also the phonetic aspects of English pronunciation. Pronunciation is still considered one of the most challenging aspects for students that sometimes make them reluctant to speak because of fear of making mistakes. Being able to help the students with their pronunciation problems will help them to effectively learn English language in a whole.This unit explained the steps involved in lesson planning and the role it plays in ensuring that learning outcomes are met. I found the suggested structure to be very useful as an expanded form of ESA as covered in unit 3. I also appreciated the logical flow of the planning system and the fact that time allocation for each part of the lesson is included. Overall, this unit has given me valuable tools that I will use to plan lessons from now on.
