This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I found this unit useful because of the descriptions of the type of tests one could use in a classroom setting and again because of the very useful examples given to asses language level. One thing i did find particularly confusing though was clarifying a different between placement tests and diagnostic tests. I understood from the reading that these were very similar and yet in question 3 they are both given as an option so this confused me as i did not think they were different enough to be distinguishable.I learned from this unit about the Future tense and how it is subdivided into different categories and usage. Future tenses focuses on what is about to happen and sometimes is it connected with the present tense. I also realized that not all forms of future tense focuses on predictions. When we talk about the future, the tense we choose brings us to our own ideas on what might happen in the future. It certainly expresses what we believe to be what is about to happen or whether we have already decided to do it.
