Teaching new vocabulary and new grammatical structures might seem an easy task for a teacher but knowing that a learner's receptive vocabulary is, usually, larger than a learner's productive vocabulary it is important that the teacher does the proper planning and has a good knowledge of how his/her students behave to new matters, as well which word(s) shall a they select previously.In this unit, I watched two different videos. One was a poor example of a teaching lesson and another was a good example of a teaching lesson. This lesson taught me how a few little things can make a huge difference between a poor lesson and a great lesson. For example, if the students are not wanting to participate, they will not learn as well. This comes down to the teacher to make sure that the students are enjoying the lesson so that they actually want to participate.
